Lecia is like tofu – you can put her in any situation and she will perform.

Which reminds me of a time when we were faced with an almost impossible client request. We were asked by a senior leader to design and facilitate a high-stakes, time-sensitive engagement with a team that was not aligned and was dealing with a lot of uncertainty.

The morning of the second team event, I had a personal emergency arise that kept me from being able to show up with the materials and co-facilitate. Lecia, headed to the site, led with her instinct, experience, and wisdom—reconfiguring the entire session on the spot. She kept the group moving forward and expertly facilitated the session.

Her efforts resulted in greater alignment and focus, and she produced a big win for us and the client. Lecia is able to do this type of pivoting because she knows how to focus intently on purpose and desired outcome, and she truly listens to team members. She showed up that day strategically, resourcefully, and poured herself into making the engagement productive and meaningful. That is what you can expect from Lecia.

In the over 10 years that I’ve hired Lecia, I have found a confidant, a creative spirit, a problem-solver, a thinking partner, a cheerleader and dependable collaborator. Lecia is the person I go to in both good and challenges.  She is a loyal and professional partner who delivers.

I am the Executive Director of a small nonprofit and I had a staff issue that had become unsolvable to me.  I turned to Lecia for professional team coaching and I could not be more grateful for that decision.

I had two leadership team members that were both qualified, competent, and deeply invested in the success of the organization, yet they found it impossible to work with one another. I valued them both and could easily see what an asset each was to the organization and so was reluctant to let either of them go.

Lecia worked with us as a team and with each of them as individuals to help us see that everyone wanted the same thing: for our work to be successful and to reflect the organization’s values.

Lecia engaged us in exercises and conversations that allowed everyone involved to say hard things to each other in a very safe space. It never felt like she was taking sides because Lecia genuinely wants there to be a common meeting place. I’m pleased to say that 2 years later both of those people remain on our staff in leadership positions and work together better than almost anyone else in the agency.

Lecia is calm, thoughtful, fun, and has a huge heart and a wise soul. But she also has the skills to challenge you in ways that make you want to work hard and grow. Whenever I have a workplace issue that is complex the first thing I do is review notes from previous sessions with Lecia to see if I can glean any insight to apply to the problem at hand. I’m forever grateful.

Lecia and I worked together at a Fortune 500 fast food company with over 45,000 restaurants across 135 countries. Together, we create a CEO-facilitated engagement plan for the top 2,000 leaders to develop the right mindset and leadership capabilities and support a culture of people engagement that delivered differentiated results.

Lecia was the cornerstone of both design concept thinking, through to the hands-on creation of a series of joined-up digital, media and workshop assets. She facilitated, coached and interpreted the needs of a diverse client stakeholder group from proposal, to learning journey architecture and project initiation. The time working and learning alongside Lecia was brief; however, I met someone who is caring, capable and trusted as a learning/coaching professional and colleague.

When I met Lecia, I was feeling stuck in my career and ready to quit. I was struggling with my co-manager and also pretty stuck in my perspective on the situation. Our leadership team was crumbling and I couldn’t show up like the leader I imagined. Lecia listened and helped me explore what options I had. After a few sessions, I stopped talking about wanting to quit and started talking about how I could show up for my team. Lecia helped me put words to how I wanted to show up. More importantly, she helped identify what was in my control, so I could focus there.

Lecia always found the balance between my work and life, supporting me in both. I’ve stopped focusing on controlling and planning every little detail and instead I lean into my values and my vision – that’s where I find flow and ease. Not only did I become a better manager for myself, my leadership team and the organization, I also tapped into my own dreams and started investing in them.
